A teenager was subjected to verbal abuse after she briefly lifted her face covering on a train from Liverpool Central so her deafblind sister could read her lips. In the incident, filmed on 16 July, another passenger can be heard questioning whether Karolina Pakenaite, 24, who has Usher syndrome, was really deafblind after she was able to respond to her sister Saule, 16.
