The Karnataka political crisis comes to an end with BJP coming to power.
BJP’s BS Yeddyurappa is now all set to become the
chief minister of Karnataka for the fourth
time. The BJP won 105 votes against the Congress-JDS
alliance which had only 99 votes after the trust vote
motion. The BJP tweeted that what happened in Karnataka was a
game of Karma. With former Chief Minister HD
Kumaraswamy stepping down with a shocking defeat, BJP has expanded
their power to Karnataka.
From its first day, the Cong-JDS alliance in Karnataka was a target for
vested interests, both within & outside, who saw the alliance as a
threat & an obstacle in their path to power. Their greed won today.
Democracy, honesty & the people of Karnataka lost-Rahul Gandhi,
President, Indian National Congress.
Soon after Congress-JDS fall, there was loud applause and cheers inside the
Vidhana Soudha. Yeddyurappa, accompanied by other BJP leaders came out to
address the crowd. He said that this is a victory for democracy and his
government would focus on welfare of farmers. Yeddyurappa, who
is the BJP state president will be sworn in soon. Dates have not yet been
confirmed.

be a lot of political movement now by state unit to ensure that Yeddyurappa
govt is not shaky like JDS-Cong coalition. #Karnataka”, tweeted journalist

Yeddyurappa is one of the most powerful leaders in Karnataka. Even when BJP
was not very popular in the state, Yeddyurappa managed to become the chief
minister for three times. He has been in the headlines for corruption
charges, many a times. Social media users tweeted about how Karnataka
is going to go in the hands of a corrupt leader.
“This is slow death of democracy. If money power can make elected MLAs to
resign& bring majority party to minority, it is “vice” not victory.
Yeddyurappa is nothing but a trader of MLAs. He will probably perish in such
ways. BJP if it has any values should not make him CM”, tweeted
Verghese Cherian.
