Heavy rain alert in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Odisha

The weather department has predicted very heavy rainfall in Kerala,
Tamil Nadu
and Odisha.

As per the reports from India Meteorological Department
(IMD),
other places such as the Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh,
Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa, Telangana, North
Karnataka
will also receive heavy rainfall.

Thunderstorm and lightning are expected in parts of West
Bengal.
In Kerala, a red alert has been issued for Idukki,
Pathanamthitta
and Kottayam districts of the state.

Fishermen have been advised against going out to the sea as bad weather is
expected along the coastal areas such as southwest Arabian Sea, west-central
and north Arabian Sea, Comorin, Lakshadweep, Gulf of Mannar, Gujarat coast
and Kerala coast.

Many parts of the country are facing floods and loss of life and property
including Assam and Bihar where the number
of dead has risen to 100. Social media users are also sharing weather
updates.

Arjunan Marar‏ tweeted, “At last the rain predictions
are getting right. It is raining since early morning in north Kerala.#rains
#keralarains #”

“ I am from ASSAM. Here having so much floods due to rain or some else.
People can’t living in their living home… Now they have to stay in road.
But, sorrowfully I have to say that When flood had occurred in KERALA then
everyone was donated their one of the property,” tweeted Rakib
Hassan‏
